About Music City Motors

A small Nashville lot built on one promise:No surprises after you drive off.

Five cars at a time. Each one personally inspected, road-tested, and warrantied by the same people who'll hand you the keys. That's the whole pitch — and it's the reason our customers keep sending us their family.

Our story

Started by a mechanic who got tired of seeing his customers get burned.

Music City Motors opened on Gallatin Avenue in 2017. After fifteen years running a service bay across town, our founder Marcus Whitfield kept seeing the same story walk through his door: a family who saved up, bought what looked like a good used car, and ended up with a transmission bill that doubled the price.

So he flipped the model. Buy fewer cars. Spend more time on each one. Only sell what he'd sell to his own sister. Five years in, the lot has grown to a small team — two ASE-certified techs, a detailer, and a manager who answers the phone herself — but the rule hasn't moved: five cars at a time, every one inspected, every one warrantied.

We're not the cheapest lot in Nashville. We're the lot where the price you pay is the price you'll pay — no $1,200 "dealer prep fee" surprise at signing, no "as-is" fine print, no upsell on an extended warranty because the real one is already in the price.

What we stand for

Four rules we don't bend.

Honest pricing

We price every car at fair market based on the same data the big lots use — no inflated stickers, no haggle dance. The price you see is the price you pay.

Mechanical certainty

Every car gets the same 150-point inspection. If it doesn't pass, it doesn't go on the lot — we send it to auction instead.

Small enough to care

We're a five-car lot on purpose. You'll talk to the same person who inspected the car, drove it home, and is putting their name on the warranty.

Stand behind every sale

10,000 miles or 6 months — whichever comes first — full powertrain warranty. We've never voided one. Ask us anything.

150-Point Inspection

Every car. Every system. Before it ever hits the lot.

When we buy a car at auction, the first thing it does is roll into our shop — not the showroom. Our certified techs run the same 150-point protocol on every vehicle, documented and signed. The full report is included in the glove box at delivery.
